Catladies and Doors

This painting is a portrait for all my cat ladies out there, or anyone who experienced love at first sight with their cat.

A little bit more about this piece:

Recently, I have been drawn to painting ancient doors and portals to other places because I feel they represent the journey humanity is on at this place in time. Doors symbolize new or hidden knowledge revealing itself to people. Another way to interpret doors is as symbols of transition, representing shifts in collective mood or significant turning points in history.

We cannot go back to how the world was and how we were before the Gaza genocide and the war on Iran.

We also cannot close the door we've opened with AI, for better or for worse.

We cannot go back to the way things were before we learned that the exact opposite of what we were taught is true.

Thank God for cats and the love and laughter they bring to us in dark times.
