Portal to Awakening

We've all been there and had a dark night of the soul, whether it's a divorce, a death, a betrayal or some other kind of loss that has shaken our lives. It is a shock to the system that changes you, and you emerge from it a different person. 

That's the phase humanity is passing through right now, collectively. We're learning that much of what we were taught in the 20th century was a lie, or, if I were being generous, simply not the complete truth.

What's especially difficult about this right now is that the veil between what's real and what we were once taught is coming down all at once. It's often too much for the mind to conceive of, so we tune it out as self-preservation.

But as all of us who have been through our own dark night of the soul know, it is followed by an awakening, a rebirth, and a rejuvenation. You become a new person, with new knowledge, and yes, some scars to show for it. But you have to walk through it to get to the other side. That's what my latest painting is about.

The good news is that we are much harder to propagandize and to control than ever before. And all kinds of new knowledge that can improve our lives is at our fingertips.
