"Mommy and Me" was inspired by a moment in my backyard—an elk mother nuzzling her spirited calf. It captures that universal mom energy: loving, watchful, a little exhausted, but always present. I painted it as a reminder of what we stand to lose if we don't respect and protect the natural world—so that we, and future generations, can experience scenes like this in real life, not just on screens.
