Abu Simbel 24" x 18" Giclée Stretched Canvas print

$425

I began this piece in 2003 after visiting Egypt’s Abu Simbel temples—those monumental sandstone giants carved into existence around 1264–1244 BC—and didn’t finish it until 2021.

This print captures the commanding presence of King Ramesses II etched into the rock face, surrounded by his wife Nefertari, his mother Muttuy, and his children.

On two specific days—February 22 and October 22—the sun’s rays pierce the temple’s depths and ignite the inner sanctuary with light. This celestial drama suggests mysteries older than memory, written in light and stone.

Faced with the threat of the Nile’s rising waters, UNESCO and Egypt dismantled and relocated this sprawling masterpiece block by block in the 1960s—16,000 chunks of history reassembled on higher ground.

This premium quality, archival giclée print is ready to hang on your wall and includes all hanging hardware. Shipping is included in the price.
